Homemade Goop

I got the recipe for this Homemade Goop off of Ehow.com. It's really simple and easy for the kids to do. I found that this particular recipe turned out a bit stiff, so I think next time we'll try to make slime or putty, but she still had fun with this.

Things you will need:

  • 1/4 Cup of Cornstarch

  • 4oz. White Glue

  • 1/2 teaspoon Borax

  • 1/4 cup warm water

  • Liquid Food Coloring

  • 2 Mixing Bowls

  • Large Spoon
  • Adding the glue to the cornstarch

Mixing! Make sure to stress that even though you are making this in the kitchen with cooking utensils, this is NOT edible.
You Mix the cornstarch and glue together in one bowl, and the remaining three ingredients together in the second bowl. Then you add them together. Mix for about 3 minutes or longer if needed.
She wanted green, it is one of her favorite colors :)

Did I ever mention how silly Caitlyn is? She loves posing for the camera!
    She made a snake!

    1. This looks fun! I think I will wait till the kids are a little older, they would try to eat it for sure. Especially Wesley...lol

    2. Ya! You could try it out though! You never know, and if they do try to eat it, it's a good time to learn that certain things aren't for the mouth :)
